- From September 2009, it will be offered to Singaporeans and permanent residents aged 55 and above this year. Those who opt in now can receive payouts from January.
- From 2013, the scheme will automatically apply to those born after 1957, and who have at least $40,000 in their retirement account at age 55.
- There are four annuity plans to choose from.
- All CPF members can participate, regardless of amount of CPF savings.
- Early sign-ups get a Life Bonus of $4,000. This applies to citizens aged 55 and above who sign up before Dec 31 next year, and those born between 1955 and 1962 who sign up before turning 56.
