Step One To Getting Rich

>> Thursday, September 10, 2009

Ever wondered how the rich got to be rich? Well, that is simply because the rich think differently and hence take different actions from the poor. Resulting in creation of their wealth.

  • "I take responsibility of what happens in my life." vs "I cannot control what happens in my life."
The rich takes the responsibility to act and improve their life whereas the poor resigns themselves to fate and complains about life.

  • "Winning" vs "Not losing"
The rich aim for the best whereas the poor aim for average or just not to finish last.

  • "Looks for solutions" vs "Focusing on the problem"
The rich sees the opportunity whereas the poor laments about the problem.

  • "Creating value" vs "Perceiving value"
The rich focuses on improving their value whereas the poor focuses on how much others value them.

  • "Results based rewards" vs "Time based pay"
The rich focuses on earning potential and passive income whereas the poor focuses on per hour rate pay.

  • "Willing to learn" vs "Afraid to ask"
The rich has an open mind and seeks wisdom whereas the poor are contented and fear the unknown.

  • "Take action to be rich" vs "Want to be rich"
The rich takes action towards wealth creation whereas the poor envy and dream of wealth.
We are all given the same 2 things in life. One, is our minds. We have the same free will to make the choice to think and act towards becoming rich or not; Two, is our time. Rich or poor, everyone has the same 24 hours a day, it is how we use it that makes the difference.

To become rich, the first step is to make a conscious choice. Followed by taking action, committing time and effort towards achieving it. Wanting, hoping and simply just waiting for it to happen is the mindset of the poor.
