Soft Drinks And Cancer

Led by the University of Minnesota, 60,534 men and women in Singapore was tracked for 14 years.
According to a report in the Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, the American researchers found that drinking more than two soft drinks a week increases the chances of getting pancreatic cancer by 87 per cent.
In the study, the theory is that high sugar content increases the amount of insulin the pancreas produces which is why those who consumed sugared soft drinks regularly may be more prone to pancreatic cancer.
With the CNY festive season this weekend, it may be a good idea to cut down on those soft drinks.
