PhD Taxi Driver

Recently came across a book titled "Diary Of A Taxi Driver" by Cai Mingjie, PhD at a local book store.
It is interesting how a PhD from Stanford chose to be a taxi driver. Considering the magnitude of other occupations more relevant to his field like teaching could have been explored.
Anyway, this is not passing judgment of his decision. It is actually a learning point that taxi drivers have been around for many years, however, none of them thought of blogging their day to day encounters. Well, this guy did it and has a following of thousands who are intrigued by his colorful post of the passengers he meets everyday. Now, he even published a book of his most popular posts.
Even though his occupation is a taxi driver, he has thought out of the box and created multiple streams of income. Advertising traffic from this blog and royalties from his book. Look forward to what he might think of doing next. He might just reach a level of passive income more than his previous occupation as a researcher.
