Scalability

The book "The Black Swan" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb presented an interesting concept of Scalability.
Many professions suffer from a limitation of earning potential. For example, doctors are restricted to the amount of patients they can actually see and treat in a day. Similar to lawyers, accountants, hair stylists, etc.
Previously, actors were restricted by the number of performance they can actually perform in front of an audience. Then came the invention of video recorders and the movie industry. Now, the audience reach has increased a million times without the actors having to perform twice.
The same can be applied to the writing industry with the advent of printing, books and even the internet. A writer only needs to pen his article or story once, it can be reproduced to the world in various languages without the writer re scripting the entirety again and it will even survive his death.
So, the consideration was, if you wish to select a career choice, invest in one with the potential to be scalable.
